Business Protection
The following case study is based on clients' specific circumstances and should not be viewed as advice. Please seek independent financial advice before embarking on a course of action.
An Accountant referred a client to Simon because he had identified that the client's company did not have business protection in place. If either of the two directors died or became seriously ill, then there would be financial implications for the company, the directors and their families. A meeting was arranged at the offices of Yates & Co with the client, the Accountant and also the client's Solicitor, to ensure the relevant advice was being given by all parties.
We made sure that the right business protection policies were in place; the Accountant ensured the arrangements were tax-efficient and the Solicitors ensured the correct legal agreements and trusts were put in place.
