Opinion: Welcome boost for first time buyers
In last week's budget, stamp duty was abolished for first time buyers up to a house purchase price of £250,000.
Phil Yates, who heads up our Mortgage & Finance services, says "the average first time buyer in the Chester area will save £1,800 (based on an average purchase price of £180,000). This will be a welcome boost for them."
